Eligibility
To participate, you must:

Be purchasing lighting products for existing commercial, agricultural, industrial, institutional or multi-unit residential buildings and facilities in Ontario.

Purchase your lighting products from a participating distributor. See our distributor map.

Not have already received a discount toward the lighting products through another Save on Energy incentive program.

Provide the minimum customer contribution for each lighting product being purchased. See program requirements for full details.

Ensure that all eligible measures are installed at end-use customer facilities within 90 days of their purchase date.

Frequently asked questions
Instant, point-of-sale discounts are available for a variety of existing commercial, agricultural, industrial, institutional and multi-unit residential buildings and facilities in Ontario that purchase eligible lighting products from participating distributors/dealers. For more information about eligibility, please refer to our program requirements.
Discounts for lighting under the Instant Discounts program is only available for retrofits to existing buildings where less-efficient lighting previously existed. This will be determined at the point of purchase.
Yes, starting January 1, 2025, standard lighting controls will be offered in the Instant Discounts Program (excluding network lighting controls, which will remain under the Retrofit program). Please refer to the program requirements for the list of eligible measures and incentive levels.
No, the program does not require a minimum quantity to be purchased on a single invoice.
Yes, DLC fixtures with a primary use designation of ‘Parking Garage Luminaires’ will be accepted under the Low-Bay tier. These fixtures must meet the Low-Bay criteria (≤10,000 lumens, ≤100 W) and must be installed in an indoor parking garage.
The minimum customer contribution refers to the minimum amount of financial input required from purchasers and end-use customers to qualify for the program incentive.
