  1. For Emergency Replacements: Post Installation Approval
  2. For Planned Replacements: Pre-Installation Approval

Post Installation Approval for Emergency Replacements

If your packaged RTU system fails, you have up to 45 days to submit an application for your incentives by following the process below:

Step 1:
Purchase and install a replacement high efficiency unit that meets the minimum EER level identified on the incentive table.

Step 2:
Have your contractor complete and submit the Save on Energy incentive documentation to your local hydro company no later than 45 days after project completion.

Step 3
Your local hydro company will review the application and mail your incentive after it is approved.

Pre-Installation Approval for Planned Replacements of Unitary AC / RTU

In order to avoid disrupted service due to equipment failure, you can receive your financial incentive for installing a replacement high efficiency Packaged Rooftop Unit prior to a breakdown or failure by following the process below:

Step 1:
In advance of purchasing, have your contractor complete and submit the pre-project incentive forms to your local hydro company for pre-approval. Note that contractors are often aware of the application process and will assist in submitting the necessary information.

Step 2:
Your local hydro company will review the application and respond to the application in a timely manner. A customer service representative from your local hydro company may also be able to assist in completing the form if any modifications are required after the document is submitted. Once approved, you can purchase and install the new high efficiency Unitary AC / Rooftop Unit.

Step 3:
After the installation is complete, your contractor aids in filling out and submitting the Post-Project Submission Form to your local hydro company.

Step 4 :
Your local hydro company will review the post project submission and mail your incentive after it is approved.
